On September 16th, Anhui Wind Power Branch of Huaneng International Power Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Jinhai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jinhai) signed a cooperation agreement on wind power project construction in Hefei, Anhui. Qiu Xianjia, general manager of Anhui Huaneng Wind Power Branch, and Huang Changyu, general manager of Jiangsu Jinhai Wind Power Tower Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jinhai Co., Ltd., signed cooperation agreements on behalf of both parties respectively.

Anhui Wind Power Branch of Huaneng International Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as Wind Power Branch for short) was established in April 2014, which is mainly responsible for the development, construction, operation and management of wind power resources of Huaneng Group in Anhui Province. As of December 31, 2020, the installed power generation capacity is 374,000 kilowatts. Huaneng Group is an important state-owned backbone enterprise approved by the State Council. By the end of 2020, the installed capacity of wholly-owned and holding power plants has exceeded 195 million kilowatts, and the coal production capacity is 77.6 million tons/year, ranking 266th among the world's top 500 companies.

At the symposium, the two sides reached a broad consensus on the in-depth cooperation of the wind power base project in Mengcheng County, Bozhou City. At the same time, the two sides will cooperate in the development of new energy projects in other regions of Anhui Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, keep up with the pace of the national "double carbon" policy, help the country realize the vision of peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality, provide strategic support for the market expansion of both sides, and achieve win-win cooperation.
